At
Paul Scherer & Company LLP, we're very conscious of the
professional growth of our entire organization.
We believe in establishing and maintaining mentoring
relationships and encouraging growth through a combination of formal
training and work experience.
We
augment our strong commitment to professional growth by using current
technology in all areas of our practice.
Everyone has an assigned workstation or private office equipped
with state-of-the-art computer hardware, software and high speed Internet
connections.
The
firm regularly schedules seminars that qualify for C.P.E. on subjects
presented by senior staff members.
(Question and answer periods are an integral part of these
seminars, and staff participation is strongly encouraged.)
Audit
fieldwork is generally conducted in one or two week time periods.
Pre-audit conferences are held to discuss the work schedules on
upcoming engagements. Work
is carefully supervised during an engagement, and each staff member's performance is reviewed and discussed regularly.
Working
assignments are scheduled to promote the professional development of our
staff. Special "training" sessions are also
conducted, either in the field or in our office, to supplement
on-the-job training. Mentors
are assigned to new staff members to help facilitate successful
transitions into our environment. Mentors
continue to serve as a resource for our experienced staff, as well.
